Client: GRT Hotels & Resorts is among the most successful hospitality companies in South India, with ambitious expansion goals into other Asian countries as well. They operate in 14 locations and own the brands Grand by GRT, GreatTrails by GRT, Regency by GRT, Zibe by GRT.
Brief: The group wanted to invest efforts in content marketing. The first step was to create a blog that would promote all of their destinations and properties, feature events and corporate updates, and celebrate their people. The group had a substantial database of guests, and were looking to write regular newsletters for them.
Projects: I worked directly with the corporate team (Head of Sales & Marketing, Chief Operating Officer, Head of Revenue, Executive Chef, General Managers) to plan and write a corporate blog and monthly newsletters, using this content marketing strategy I built for them. I also wrote their press releases, website content, property descriptions, and marketing collateral (in-room directories, brochures, menu cards etc). I worked closely and in sync with the company’s other vendors including PR, e-commerce, social media, photography, creative and advertising (J. Walter Thompson). The blog helped immensely with the hotel showing up on the first page of Google search results, and we were able to generate bookings directly from the newsletters as well.
