Client: Arture Design. Arture was founded by two young entrepreneurs with a thirst to create a sustainable fashion brand. They experimented with cork to design and produce bags, and found a niche market for them. The brand has been featured extensively in the media for its unique sustainable model, including Harper’s Bazaar, Culture Trip, Homegrown, Grazia, and several fashion blogs.
Products: Sustainable vegan bags, wallets and accessories (notebooks, ipad covers, key cases, passport holders). Made with eco-friendly materials (cork, hemp, nettle), Arture’s bags and wallets have been received with open arms by eco-conscious customers around the world. They retail online and in niche stores.
Brief: The founders at Arture wanted to work with a consultant to help fine tune and streamline their communications. As a self-funded startup, the brand was working with limited budgets, and wanted to find ways to reach larger audiences.
Project: I worked closely with the founders to build campaigns, crack brand positioning, create content marketing plans and schedule content across channels – website, blog, newsletters, retail, events. We did several activities together to understand our target audience and tailor communications to them. Where do they go? How do they spend their weekend? What clothing brands do they buy from? We studied buying patterns – what was the average bill value? How many were repeat clients? Were they buying for themselves or as gifts? We used all of these answers to shape communications. I also represented the brand at London Fashion Week, where they were the only Indian brand chosen to display at the Commonwealth Fashion Council.
